DRIFT CLINIC – BASIC TECH INSPECTION

For those running sandwich spacers.  The amount of thread engagement should be greater than or equal to the diameter of the lug.  ie 12X1.25 Nissan Lug you must have 12mm of thread engagement.

WHEELS  AND TIRES

STEERING AND SUSPENSION

_______battery secured (no bungees)

BRAKES

_______pedal pressure

SAFETY EQUIPMENT

_______roll bars in open cars

_______seat belts or harness

_______helmet (Snell SA 2010+ Helmet required)

_______covered battery inside cockpit

MISCELLANEOUS

_______Gas cap secured

_______No wires exposed

_______Seats bolted tight

_______Battery terminals covered

_______ No Loose objects inside the car

TIPS

Make sure your tire pressure is OK. For beginners, typically make your tire pressure in the rear higher than in the front. It’s easier to spin your tires especially if you don’t have the extra power to do it. Tire pressure will be adjusted accordingly as you progress and better your skills.
