WHAT IS JUSTDRIFT?
We are a Drift Clinic that has been around since 2002. Our Home track is Willowsprings Raceway, Rosamond California. It’s 60 miles from Los Angeles.  We have 4 classes (Beginners, Intermediate, Advance and Expert) . We teach in the drift clinic once or twice a month – check our schedule page.

WHO CAN JOIN?
Anyone that is a drifting enthusiast and a fan of the sport. As long as you have a rear wheel drive car with little to no modification.

I’M NOT A DRIVER, CAN I GO?
Yes you can go and watch, Keep in mind the venue might charge a fee to watch. Check with the venue of the event you are interested in attending.

I HAVE A CIVIC, CAN I DRIFT IT?
Well YES, you can try. But it is not recommended to drift a front wheel drive base car.

DO YOU HAVE INSTRUCTORS?
Yes, we do have instructors in the beginners and intermediate class and all our Drift clinics. The normal ration is 4:1 – our class is limited to 20 drivers per event. This will maximize seat time and shorten the learning curve of drifting.

WHAT IS TOPDRIFT?
TOPDRIFT is a PRO/AM Drift competition and on it’s 4th year. It’s a TOP amateur competition that’s open to everyone that wants to come out and try. The Top 3 of the series gets a FORMULAD PRO license and the TOP 8 will be invited to FD PROAM for another chance to get a FD Pro license.

I HAVE A CAMARO, MUSTANG OR A TRANS-AM, I WANT TO GO TRY IT?
Why not? Come out and have fun with us. Bring your helmet, extra tires, open minded and you’ll go home with a smile!

I DON’T HAVE A HELMET, CAN I RENT ONE?
No, we do not have any rental helmets available. But you can use a motorcycle (M2005-rated) and try the sport out before you buy an SA rated helment. Once you become regular, You will need an SA2005 or better.

IS ROLLCAGE REQUIRED?
Rollcage is not required on single runs, but roll bar with sidebar is required for all tandem runs.

WHO IS AN ADVANCE DRIVER?
Advance driver are the one who completed at least 5 or more JustDrift and has competed in the TOPDRIFT.

WHAT’S AN EXPERT CLASS?
It is a class that we’ve put together that are higher than advance but below the Pro-Level. They exhibit extra ordinary driving skills and has place TOP16 at any of the TOPDRIFT rounds.

I HAVE A CLUB, AND WE WANT TO GO DRIFTING?
JustDrift is also a sanctioning organization. You can contact us if you want us to put together an event for your club.

I WANT TO TANDEM, WHAT DO I NEED?
You will need to be in the advance/expert  class and have a roll bar with side bar; roll cage is not necessary. In addition to the roll bar/side bar , you will also need interior mounted fire extinguisher, 5 point harness and racing seats.

ARE SPECTATORS ALLOWED?
Yes, spectators are allowed, the track may charge a spectator fee. Please respect everyone at the pit.

DO YOU HAVE MEDIA ACCESS?
Yes we do, please contact us prior to coming out so we can accommodate you.

ARE YOU PLANNING TO HAVE OTHER EVENTS OUTSIDE OF WSIR?
Yes, We have been looking for alternatives so we can bring variety in the drifting atmosphere.

I AM A SPECTATOR, CAN I RIDE ALONG?

No spectator ride along allowed. Contact the track master or one of the staff to arrange for one if available.

Can I compete without a cage?
Absolutely,  TOPDRIFT LIMITED –  but you can’t advance to Top 16 tandem rounds. Highest place you’ll get is Top 16 – collect your points and get a cage for the next round.

Can I come practice and not compete?
Yes you can! Saturday is a normal drift clinic with 2 groups – 1 for competition practice/tandem and another one for the drift clinic

BASIC TRACK RULES:
Make sure your car passes tech inspection (see inspection list).

• Be courteous and observe track etiquette at all times.
• No passing – give good space between cars (drivers discretion)
• Hands inside car – including your passenger
• Drivers will always be responsible for their passengers when allowed and pit crews
• Rowdy behaviour will cause your to be removed from the track/pit without refund
• Unsafe drivers will be removed without refund
• Do not cut in line
• Do not jump into a run group you do not belong in
• Windows down – unless otherwise noted
• follow track rules at all times
• Observe speed limit in pit areas and access roads
• Ride alongs must be approved by track master / staff

CAN I VIDEO TAPE OR TAKE PHOTOS FOR MEDIA/COMMERCIAL USE?
You will need to email or mail a written request on a company letter head to us. We will contact you prior to the event for approval or denial of your request.
